Information provided on entry forms must be accurate, as such information, as well as the photographs supplied, will be used in all publicity for winning entries.

 
eligibility motivations
 
  1. Entries will only be accepted where the pack is manufactured in South Africa.
  2. All packs entered must have been on sale or in use prior to the official closing date.
  3. Where the brand owner is the entrant, consent and confirmation of all details on the entry form must be obtained from the packaging converter, and vice versa.
  4. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted by one entrant.
  5. Entries must be accompanied by three packs: Two with contents, and one empty. One will be used for judging purposes, and another for display at the awards presentation, if successful.
    IMPORTANT: The requirement to supply filled packs may be waived by special consent (for very large entries or certain perishables).
  6. Additional entry forms are available from the Secretary in either printed form or may also be downloaded from the IPSA Gold Pack website.
  7. Packs that have previously won any IPSA GOLD PACK AWARD are not eligible for entry.
  8. Out of Africa Award - Entries will only be accepted where the manufacturer of the pack is situated in any country in Africa other than South Africa.

  • Where entrants require the return of entries, arrangements must be made by the entrant to insure the entry, and to arrange collection from the organisers.
  • To avoid unnecessary handling, the return of packs of small value is discouraged.
  • Unsuccessful entries MUST be collected by the 28 August 2009.
  • Entrants of winning packs that are used to make up the display at the presentation banquet, will be responsible for the removal of their packs immediately after the banquet.
  • Any packs not collected will be donated to an appropriate charity.
  • Empty packs will not be returned.
 
All entries must be accompanied by an entry form with full details and motivation. Additional information that may be required to substantiate claims made in the motivation, may be appended to the official entry form. This may include supporting documents, digital presentations, photographs or diagrams. (This information will only be used to substantiate claims that may be made.)

Each entry MUST be accompanied by an A4 size (8x10) professional quality colour photograph, or high resolution digital image on disc with print (A5 at 300dpi), which will be used by the judges, and for publicity purposes.

IN YOUR OWN INTEREST, DO NOT submit polaroids, homemade digital photographs or photostats as these are totally unsuitable for the audio visual presentation and the winners' brochure.

Entries accompanied by unacceptable photographs will NOT be accepted.

IPSA Members
The contact person on the entry form must be a member of IPSA in good standing or the entrant company must be a corporate member of IPSA.
Entry Fee: R1000 + VAT = R1114

Non IPSA Members
Entry Fee: R1250 + VAT = R1425

Multiple entries:
A discount of 10% will be allowed for 5 or more entries.

Late Entries
An additional 50% late entry surcharge will be levied on all entries received after the official closing date. These entries will only be accepted if prior arrangement is made with the organisers.

Example:
Cost - R1250 + 50% = R1875 + VAT = R2137.50

All late entries MUST be communicated to the organisers before the closing date to ensure receipt of delivery and entry registration.
