2005 "Make Your Move"
“Make Your Move…” This was the theme for this year’s Gold Pack Awards programme. 212 entries were received from all sectors of the packaging industry as well as many end user companies.
The awards programme was sponsored by various companies and we are grateful for the generous financial support received from the following:
Once again judging was held at the Assagay Hotel in Shongweni, KwaZulu-Natal. Judges spent a grueling 3 days judging, debating and deliberating on the 212 entries received. Entries were of a very high standard and 87 awards were made. The panel of judges included:

A glittering banquet which included a 2 screen video presentation was held at the Holiday Inn Strand Street, Cape Town for 480 guests. Mc for the evening was Malcolm Gooding
Packaging Achiever of the year for 2005 was awarded to Ray Crewe-Brown, CEO of Astrapak.
Several of this year’s winners also entered into the World Packaging Organisation’s World Stars competition and were awarded World Stars. See list of winners.
